Hot Chocolate Recipes

Here is a great basic recipe for Hot Chocolate Mix.

4 lb. box of instant powdered milk
1 lb. powdered sugar (confectioner’s sugar)
2 lbs. Nestle Quick chocolate
2 lbs. Non-dairy creamer (can get flavored ones, however, will limit the flavors you can add to your hot chocolate later.)

Mix together and store in airtight container. Place 3 to 4 tablespoons of mix into hot water. This makes a great gift.

Mint Hot Chocolate

One of my most favorite flavors of Hot Chocolate is Mint. The easiest way to make this is to take a peppermint candy, or small candy cane and let it melt in your hot chocolate. Another way is to add about 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint oil to your hot chocolate. Don’t forget to top with whipped cream and crushed candy canes. It makes it look so much more festive.

  1. I absolutely love mint flavored hot chocolates. One of my most favorite ways to make it is to add an Ande’s Mint or a York Mint Patty to my cup of hot chocolate. Give this a try.
